Ike joined the American Marketing Association in the fall of 2025 after first learning about the organization during his MGMT 321 class. When AMA members visited the class, it sparked his interest in marketing as a future career path and encouraged him to get involved.
One of Ike’s favorite memories since joining has been a trip to Cedar Point, where he not only enjoyed the experience but also built stronger relationships with fellow club members. Experiences like this helped solidify his sense of community and belonging within the organization.
Through AMA, Ike has grown both personally and professionally. Being part of the club has helped him develop the skills and confidence needed for more professional environments while also encouraging him to think intentionally about how he markets himself. Since joining, he’s seen significant “drastic” improvements in his personal and professional growth.

Outside of AMA, one accomplishment Ike is especially proud of is averaging a 187 on his varsity bowling team in high school. This achievement reflects his dedication, discipline, and drive—qualities he continues to bring into his involvement with AMA.
The skills Ike has gained through the organization can be summed up in three words: community, growth, and action. These values guide how he collaborates, learns, and pushes himself outside his comfort zone.
Every club has its traditions and inside jokes, and one that stands out is “set more alarms,” a lighthearted reminder from a trip that required an early drive to Sandusky. And when asked what reminds him most of AMA, Ike’s answer is simple: Krispy Kreme.
Looking ahead, Ike hopes to continue evolving both personally and professionally through AMA by refining his skills and strengthening how he presents himself in the marketing world.
His advice to new or prospective members is powerful and straightforward: Just do it. Fear and hesitation can prevent people from taking chances and pursuing opportunities. By stepping outside of his comfort zone, Ike believes members can discover their true potential because often, what you run from is exactly what you end up chasing.
