Congratulations to AMA Ferris’ January Member of the Month, Drew Smythe! Drew is a Senior majoring in Business Administration. She joined AMA during the autumn 2021 semester and quickly became involved with the chapter. She heard about AMA Ferris from a class speaker and became interested after learning about all of the events we do and our involvement in the community. She thought it would be a great opportunity to grow professionally and meet new people.
Drew has been very involved since she joined, regularly attending workshops, meetings, and Crimson Consulting. One of her favorite parts of AMA Ferris is meeting all of the great people in the chapter. She says she “has fun at every meeting and outing we go on.” One of her favorite events was our Business and Basketball trip to the Detroit Pistons game. Beyond learning more about sports marketing and the career paths of the Pistons’ marketing executives, it was a super fun and exciting event.
Outside of AMA, Drew enjoys going downhill skiing, boating, and playing video games. In the summertime, she also enjoys camping and kayaking down the Manistee River with her friends and family. She also enjoys playing music on her ukulele.
