Stephanie Beltinck will be giving students insight into the world of business through her experiences. Stephanie works at Water Works Salon and Spa Academy. Stephanie has 27 years experience as a master stylist and cosmetology instructor. In addition to having 15 years experience as a business owner in the cosmetology industry. At Stephanie's first job as an apprentice stylist in her hometown of Mt. Pleasant she watched seasoned veteran stylist observing their interaction with clients and gaining many insights into the cosmetology industry. In watching what veteran stylist did and said allowed Stephanie to learn through their struggles.
Stephanie feels students need to learn networking within the community, working to build partnerships with your customers, and being authentic, are principles that students should develop. A fellow entrepreneur once told Stephanie “don’t let someone else eat your lunch” during a time when building customer retention was very important.
When asked what marketing outside the lines means to you, Stephanie stated it means “creating personal relationships with your brand to potential customers through storytelling” and personalizing the customer experience, this includes engaging customers to give feedback about their concerns. Then taking that information and developing a solution. The biggest trend that she sees in the marketing world is consumer relatability or building consumer relationships.
