Kayleen Flanery will be serving as the Vice President of Communication. She is majoring in Marketing with a degree of contention in advertising. Once she has accomplished getting her degree, she plans on working in the advertising industry. Kayleen loves the idea of the creative opportunities that a career in advertising provides. Her long-term goal is to own her own marketing firm. In addition to advertising, she wants to be able to use her degree in marketing for important causes. Kayleen hopes to be able to lead her skills to important cases to be a part of the force of change. As an e-board member, she is hoping to be there for her fellow e-board members to help them grow personally and professionally. She also hopes to excel as the V.P. of Communications, given the level of responsibility that comes with it. Kayleen is also looking forward to helping this year's AMA reach their goals of becoming a top five organization at the national level, continue their strike of top 4 RSO at Ferris, and increasing their social media presence. Kayleen decided to become a part of AMA to expand on her knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to help differentiate herself in the marketing industry. She also joined to meet new people, since she is new to Ferris, and was looking for an opportunity to be social and get involved.
Kayleen enjoys spending time with her dog Kahne. Family is very important to her, so spending time with them is one of her priorities in life. She also finds time to volunteer with Gift of Life. Many of Kayleen’s hobbies include spending time outdoors. Living on a lake allows her to kayak, go fishing, go boating, and just float in the water. Camping is another one of the activities that she enjoys. Hammock camping is a new form of camping that she has recently started trying. Other outdoor adventures that she enjoys are hunting, four wheeling, hiking, and biking. From an early age, she developed a passion for cooking that is still very much a part of her life. This summer, Kayleen is going to be continuing her studies at Ferris with two classes. She will also be spending time with family and taking advantage of the opportunity to recharge for fall. She hopes to go on a few camping trips with her brother.
