Getting to know the new E-board

​Victoria (Tori) Schmidt will be the Vice President of Professional Development. Tori is working on achieving her degree in Business Management with a concentration in Operation and Supply Management.  Currently, she is leaning towards becoming a lead operator. When it comes to her performance on the job, she hopes to ensure successful production to make sure the company can reach their goals. In the long run, Tori would like to own her own business.
This coming year, Tori is looking forward to creating relationships. By being able to work as the V.P. of Professional Development, she is looking forward to the responsibility and enjoying such a rewarding position. In her position, Tori hopes to ensure events are successful for all AMA members. In addition to the planning of events, she hopes to get AMA members more involved. She joined AMA to be involved with more on campus and to expand her knowledge. By being a member, she has experienced the benefits of creating new friendships and expanding her skills professionally. To sum it up in her own words “it has been one of the best decisions I have made at Ferris”.
The best way to describe Tori is adventurous. Whether she is going to concerts, trying new restaurants, or hanging out with family, Tori is an individual that enjoys trying new things. Quality time with family, friends, and her cat named Kitty also provide her with fun memories. It will be an adventure packed summer for her. Tori will spend the first month in Shanghai, China studying abroad. This adventure will allow her to experience a new cultural full of interesting food, tours, and bargaining while shopping. It also allowed her to gain new friendships. Upon her return, Tori has planned a trip to Colorado to hang out with her boyfriend where they will spend the time hiking and having adventures in new places. Tori will return to Michigan to work at one of Michigan’s big summer events, the Electric Forest. It will be her third year getting to attend. In addition to all of this, she plans to make it to California to travel with a friend. Finally, she plans to round out her summer with the Breakaway Festival in Grand Rapids. Between all of her adventures, Tori still plans of working at the Gypsy Nickel and will be busy planning AMA events.
